More than 1,000 people benefit from learning in more than 50 weekly Torah classes in many subjects and many languages.
Daily overview of Torah portion, Tanya and Psalms each morning after prayers. Each afternoon after Mincha a review of The Rebbe’s Daily Instructions and Jewish Law pertaining to the seasons takes place.
Tuesday night Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar explains the practical applications of the Weekly Torah porting in our every day life.
Friday there is a special morning class for Young Leadership given by Rabbi Lipskar with discussions on Maimonides, Prophets and Tanya.
In addition there are 10 private one-on-one learning sessions each week with members of the community.
Ongoing classes for The Shul’s Latin community (JLAC) include A Monday night class about the Torah protion and a weekly women’s lunch and learn.
The Sephardic minyan continues to expand with classes and now includes a class of “Chok Le Israel” each morning, Jewish Law between Mincha and Maariv and Talmud for one hour after Maariv.
Women’s classes include a weekly series on the laws of Shabbos and Tuesday evening classes on Shalom Bayit at individual homes. There is a monthly cooking class at The Shul, which teaches traditional Sephardic cuisine attended by 20 to 50 women. Classes are held at homes and The Shul prior to each Holiday covering a wide-array of topics and Halachic review.
Other weekly classes include Laws of Torah, Book of Shoftim (women), Torah Learning in Spanish, Gates of Repentance, Tanya, Practical Halacha for Women, Wednesday Night Farbrengen, Sicha of The Rebbe, Daf Yomi, etc.
