5785 High Holiday Appeal
Please verify reCaptcha before submitting the form.
Dear Shul Family,
As we prepare to usher in our new year when we beseech our Father in Heaven to grant us all the blessings for the upcoming year, it is important to include Tzedakah in our lives as Jews. Imagine a family with children, who may be your friends or neighbors, worrying how they would celebrate this important Holiday season. They are not able to shop for necessary items as they have lost their only means of income or job. They sit silently embarrassed to ask but relegated to not celebrating these important meaningful Holy days in a proper way with their family.
Tzedakah is more than just a good deed; it is righteousness and justice. It is the most fundamental mitzvah that unites and strengthens our community. This Tzedakah not only meets material needs but also uplifts souls and connects hearts.
In the spirit of unity and compassion, I appeal to each member of our Shul Community to consider participating in our special Community Charity Fund. Your caring generosity can make a significant difference in many lives, allowing them to celebrate Rosh Hashanah with dignity and joy.
Let us come together as a community to support one another, fulfilling this mitzvah with dedication and empathy. Our sages remind us that Tzedakah has the power to transform, to heal, and to redeem. It is a path to holiness and a way to demonstrate our love and concern for our fellow Jews and evoke Hashem’s greatest blessings for each and every one of us
May your generosity be a source of blessings for you and our entire community, and may the upcoming year be filled with sweetness and prosperity for us all.
With Torah greetings and blessings, love and esteem,
Sholom D. Lipskar
