THE SHUL — Guidelines for Shabbos, Holidays, and Events

As an Orthodox Jewish institution, THE SHUL observes traditional Halachic standards and respectfully requests that all visitors and guests do the same while on our premises, particularly on Shabbos and Yom Tov (Jewish holy days).

Shabbos, Holidays and Modesty:
The use of phones, cameras, electronics, money, and music is strictly prohibited on Shabbos and Yom Tov.
• We kindly ask all guests to dress modestly in accordance with the sanctity of THE SHUL.
• Men are requested to wear a yarmulke or appropriate head covering.

•  Separate seating for men and women in the Sanctuary. Mixed seating is permitted in the social halls.

• THE SHUL adheres to a  NO MIXED DANCING POLICY and is strictly enforced.
• A kosher mechitzah is required for any event that includes dancing.
• Female photographers are not permitted in the men’s section of the Sanctuary during services.
• Female vocalists are permitted only in front of an all-female audience.
• Music may not be permitted during certain times of the Jewish calendar (please consult a Jewish calendar when selecting your event date).


Security & Facility Policies:
THE SHUL’s security personnel reserve the right to search all individuals, bags, and packages prior to entry.
THE SHUL reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any individual due to disorderly behavior.
• NO weapons of any kind are permitted on the premises, including pocket knives.
• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at ALL TIMES. 
• Personal belongings should not be left unattended.
• Luggage is not permitted inside THE SHUL or stored on the property.


Vendor Requirements:
Proof of liability insurance is required from all vendors.
• A COI (Certificates of insurance) must be submitted to THE SHUL’s Event Coordinator
no later than 7 days prior to your event.
